The Similan Islands National Park has nine granite islands covered in tropical jungle, surrounded by a clear blue tropical ocean and with some of the world's finest beaches and dive sites. The islands have achieved national park status and thus are fully protected under Thai law. Below the waterline, the Similans offer huge boulders with swimthroughs, cracks and overhangs. The Surin Islands and Richelieu Rock offer opportunities to observe octopus, mating cuttlefish and schooling barracudas, plus chance encounters with shovelnose rays. Whale Sharks are so prevalent that you should encounter at least one.

The Mergui Archipelago in the south of Myanmar (Burma) consists of hundreds of islands, outcrops and reefs. With its unexplored tropical islands this could be your adventure of a lifetime. In 1997 the Mergui Archipelago was slowly opening up to foreigners for the first time in over fifty years. Since then it has been relatively left alone. Today it is home to a mulititude of Islands, which remain unexplored. Diving in Mergui (Myanmar) is absolutely virginal and certainly presents the possibility of hundreds of exiting new dive sites. Myanmar's greatest attraction is it big fish, namely sharks, leopard, grey reefs, white tips, silvertips, nurse and hammerheads. The gateway to the archipelago is from Kawthoung (Victoria Point) on the south tip of Myanmar.

The Southern Trips include beautiful locations around Phi Phi Island but also include the fantastic sites of Hin Daeng and Hin Muang. Further south lies the Tarutao National Marine Park, which provides the clearest waters and most beautiful coral gardens in the South. These granite islands are completely covered by rain forest and fringed by deserted soft white power sand beaches, similar to those found in the Similan Islands. It is estimated that 25% of the world's tropical fish species can be found in Ko Tarutao Marine National Park. Every type of fish, mammal, reptile and bird currently residing in South Thailand are there.
